Growing up, we all heard certain comments from our parents or grandparents regarding the right way to eat. Most of this advice is however wrong. Here are some myths
that need to be dispelled if you want to lose some weight.
1. Finish The Food On Your Plate

portions we eat are often way too large and leaving food on your plate is not going to help the starving kids in Africa.

The best way to increase is to consume more regular meals. Up to 6 meals a day is recommended but it is important to keep portion control in mind. Eating less more often

as the number one culprit in weight gain and you don't need to eat carbs with every meal.

The crust of the bread contains no more or less nutritional value than the soft middle part. Removing your bread crusts lowers your carbohydrate intake, so cut off
those crusts. It is always best to eat whole grain breads rather than white processed bread.

The first food item that you need to eliminate from your diet is sugar. While fruit is a great substitute to stave off the sugary cravings, they are also full of sugar
that can result in weight gain. Don't overindulge and limit your fruit consumption to 3 or 4 pieces per day.

It is essential to include a range of vegetables in your diet and is the best way to lose weight while getting the nutrition you need. However, the way you cook your
veg is important to losing weight. Never overcook your food and drink as much raw vegetables as you can.

Fruit juice contains all the sugar without the fiber and nutritional value that you would get from eating a whole piece of fruit. It is particularly important to stay
away from store bought juices which contain added sugar. The healthiest drink is water if you want to shed those pounds

The fastest way to gain weight is to eliminate some meals from your diet. Your body will simply begin storing everything you eat as fat reserve.
